FORZA 2

I am a big fan of car racing games, Need for Speed series is one of my favorites, til the Carbon, because I still have my doubts on the last release of Need for Speed Pro street, from my point of view, a lot of the escense of the original is gone, luckily for me and other racing enthusiast, I found Forza 2, more than 300 licensed cars, 45 tracks across 12 environments, and upwards of three hours of licensed music.
Car customization is awesome, engine, brakes and handling upgrades go along with paint jobs, and vynils, it is fantastic!!!, the best of all is that a player can customize a car, pimp it out and then sell it for a good chunk of credits in an online auction. Ain't that great?
Car damage makes a difference since your car will not run the same after a few hits, you can finish a race without a bumper but try to do so with a damaged transmission, it becomes a real challenge.
Controls are realistic, in this game you have to learn the track and it is not a good idea to go nuts and be a maniac under the steering wheel, difference between front, all wheel, rear wheel drive is dramatic so you have to be ready to take a curve at the right speed and get ready to use the re-start race option a lot.
Forza 2 is a good game I highly recommend it if you like to race expensive cars you do not wanna pay for repairs later on.

Devil May Cry 4 - Demo

A few days ago has been released on the Marketplace of Xbox Live the demo of Devil May Cry 4. I have played the demo and it looks really good. I liked the playability and quality of the graphics.

It is official: Prince of Persia on Xbox 360

Ubisoft has confirmed the development of Prince of Persia for Xbox 360. This is a great new for all the fans of this wonderful game.

The release of the game will be later this year or earlier on 2009, but I am pretty sure that we will get the game on the E1 next year. We do not know if the new game will be a secuel from the previous games.

Ubisoft is very confident in deliver the game on time because will use the same engine that they developed for Assassins Creed but if for any reason they need to delay the release, specially for the improvement of the game quality we can wait...

XBOX 360 Achievements

The way of playing games is changing, the feeling of being unmotivated by a game really does not stick anymore. Today consoles are delivering experiences that push the gaming experience to be more social and competitive.

XBOX 360 achievement points are having a great effect on the nowadays consumer, winning a great battle in the war of consoles. Achievement points are marks of excellence that gamers can earn by completing specific tasks in the games they play.

For example in GRAW 2 you have to get all secondary objectives in single player to get 30 points, or get 100 points in Call of Duty 2 for completing a mission without firing a shot.These points appear to have no monetary value, they do not improve the game performance, they are meant to show off other players how skilled you are with the controller. Just by looking at the points you realize what kind of gamer is the person you are gonna play against.

Achievement points make a game last longer due to the fact that you have to play the game again if you want to complete certain tasks, kill more enemies, get more money etc, etc. it also makes the experience of playing online be more competitive and social, as you gamers can discuss how to get an achievement, like the "Defender" achievement in GRAW 2 in which you and your friends have to play online for 60 minutes and defend a position from enemies, you need a lot of strategy to do so.

This is one of the many reasons why to get an Xbox 360, get together with friends and family and have lots of fun... and rack up achievement points, who knows, maybe in the future it could have some monetary value.
